Lake Vocal Studio

Rosalyn Lake is a Music Specialist for Shelby County Schools.  She graduated with honors from Jackson Central Merry High School in Jackson TN in 2002 and received her Bachelors in Vocal Music Education (Cum Laude) from the University of Tennessee at Martin, in Martin TN in the Spring of 2007.  Rosalyn has been with the Shelby County School System for 9 years, going into her 10th, teaching in the area of General Music and Vocal Music for grades K-12.  During her time with SCS, Ms. Lake has taught for Crosswind Elementary, Southwind, Elementary, Sycamore Elementary, Southwind Middle, Lowrance School which houses grade Pre-K – 8, and now Ridgeway High School.  Ms. Lake is the Director of Choral Activities and also teaches General Music.

 

Outside of work, Rosalyn is and has been (for 10 years) apart of the Memphis Symphony Chorus that performs along side the Memphis Symphony Orchestra.  She also performs as a soloist for weddings and other special events in Memphis, TN and surrounding areas. 

 

Ms. Lake started hosting her own private voice studio in Fall of 2013.  Students of this studio are those that are interested in taking private voice lessons and learning basic music theory.  Students of Lake Vocal Studio conclude each session with a Recital to show their growth.  Lake Vocal Studio has hosted  7 recitals thus far with plans for many more!
